CLIENT DIARIES #1
-
I thought I would start a little client diary on my blog to showcase my weekly special occasion makeup & hair clients because they're just too beautiful! This weekend I've been all over the place, I'm based in Barrowford - a little village in Lancashire. However I'm from Heywood in Manchester which is where I originally started my business so I still have lots a clients over there who I still do makeup for!
So this weekend I've been doing makeup & hair clients in Heywood, Ramsbottom, Barrowford and Todmorden.
Makeup & Hair in Ramsbottom
-
I started off with two lovely ladies in Ramsbottom, one of whom I've done makeup on since I started nearly 10 years ago! Nicola wanted something coppery for a night out in Manchester so I used my favourite Morphe Palette Shimmer Palette with MAC Copper Pigment on top to create this beautiful copper eye makeup look.
How Beautiful! I never filter or edit any of my makeup photos as I like them to be realistic so my clients know exactly what to expect! So on Nicola's skin I used the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation dupe from Aldi which I love but I only have one bottle left so I'm gutted! For concealer I used the Wet n Wild Full Coverage which I really love so that's up there with one of my favourites! And then I used MAC lipstick in Hug Me.
I've never done Amy's makeup before but was delighted to, such a perfect face & skin for doing makeup on! I used different products to create this gorgeous, glowing, youthful makeup look. For the bases I used the Becca Backlit Primer which you can no longer get anymore (boohoo), with the Smashbox Full Coverage Foundation as a base. Although it's full coverage, the skin is still able to breathe which is such a biggie for me when doing makeup as I hate that heavy feeling some foundations make you feel. I finished the base with Maybelline Fit Me Concealer & the Revolution Baked Powder. On the eyes I used my Urban Decay Heat Palette with the Anastacia Beverley Hills Norvina Palette. I finished the look with a nude, pink lipstick from MAC.
Makeup in Heywood
Afterwards I travelled back to my old stomping ground, Heywood to finish the day off with two more clients. Again, Chelsea is someone whose makeup I've done for a long time so I usually get free reign of what I want to do!
So Chelsea was attending a hen do and wanted something a little heavier than usual. I love doing heavier looks sometimes as I'm typically a soft glam kinda gal. But I created this gorgeous, dark smokey look with super thick lashes ready for a night out with the girls! Again using my favourite Anastacia Beverly Hills Palette but the Soft Glam version on the eyes & the base was Maybelline Fit Me Foundation which I love!
Makeup & Hair in Todmorden
I'm truly obsessed with this makeup! I love doing Kenza's makeup & hair because she has the best skin and thickest hair so I can do almost anything. I do get creative control with Kenza too so today it was her husband's birthday and they were having a family gathering at home so she wanted something simple & not too heavy. Kenza was wearing a beautiful dress that had pink through it so chose to base the look around this colour.
I used the Anastacia Beverley Hills Modern Renaissance Palette to create this slightly smokey but subtle pink eye makeup. On the skin I used my Mehron Celebre Pro foundation which is firm kit favourite of mine and makes skin flawless! To finish off I used MAC Hug Me lipstick - this is also one of my go to products and has been for years because it suits most people!
I do have another client tomorrow morning so head over to follow me on Instagram @brionyjayemakeuphair to stay updated & catch all makeup photos as soon as they're posted 🤍
